Double Wing Splits in a Pro-I Offense

We have been using double-wing splits and some double-wing blocking schemes in a pro-I system for several years now. We have found it very advantageous when using stretch-double zone blocking and in our trapping game. Teams have a tough-time with their run-blitz schemes as their backers get caught in the wash and our down-blocks/double teams are really set-up by the smaller split. Pocket passing is also effective with these splits for the same reasons. Another advantage of the tight splits is the added grass that the defense has to cover on the perimeter. Spread sets can really cause some coverage concerns horizontally while allowing a well trained offensive line to snow-plow 6 in the box defensive fronts.

Any thoughts/counter-points?
